State aforesaid, personally appeared Benjamin A. Garlinger, M.S. Barber and William Updegraff, and on behalf of "Rose Hill Cemetery of Hagerstown" and of themselves as a committee thereof duly authorized, did acknowledge the above deed to be their act and the act and deed of said "Rose Hill Cemetery of Hagerstown”

Description for Deed by Rose Hill Cem. & Wash. Cem.
Part of "Rose Hill Cemetery" embracing part of a tract of land called "Heisterboro," lying near Hagerstown in Washington County Md. "Beginning for the part hereby intended to be conveyed at a stone standing near the east side of the Turnpike road leading from Hagerstown to Sharpsburg; and at the end of 8 feet 10 inches, on a line drawn North 77 East from the south west corner of "Rose Hill Cemetery;" and running thence parallel with the west line of Rose Hill Cemetery and six feet seven inches distant therefrom,
N 31°E 429 feet to a stone, thence
S 59°E 266 feet 6 inches to a stone,
in the west margin of "The Tour", thence running along the west marginal line thereof southward 288 feet to a stone, thence S 31°W 184 feet to a stone 6 feet and 7 inches distant from the south line of "Rose Hill Cemetery, thence
N 58° W 266 feet 6 inches to the place of beginning Containing Two Acres and ninety perches of land more or less.
