The Firemen's Parade, 1905

Click on the MEDIA ITEMS below for more information

The parade traveled down West Washington Street to the Public Square and then down South Potomac Street in Hagerstown. This photograph shows the scene at the Square as the parade made the turn. The buildings were festooned with patriotic bunting. Even the open carriage closest to the photographer is decorated with flags and the horse dressed out for the occasion. Behind it is a phaeton carriage.

A brass band is marching down Potomac Street, and following them in West Washington are a line of carriages.
