A Noble Work

—We noticed in our last issue, that the loyal ladies of Boonsboro' and vicinity had organized themselves into an association, responsive to the call of the National Sanitary Committee, for the relief of the sick and wounded soldiers of our armies, and have now the gratification of publishing the following list of articles made by them, and boxed up ready to be sent, in the short space of two weeks:—

Fortyone Comforts; Nineteen Blankets; Seventeen Quilts; Three Coverlets; Twenty eight Pillows; Forty six Pillow Cases; Fifty Towels: Eighteen Sheets; Three Hair Cushions: Fifty five Canton Flannel Shirts; Fifty five Pairs Canton Flannel Drawers; Eleven Double Wrappers; Fiftyone Pairs Yarn Socks; Twelve Pairs Cloth Slippers; Thirty two Linen Handkerchiefs; Thirty Jars Preserves and Jellies; Sixtyone bags of Dried Fruit; Three Jugs, and one Bottle of Wine ; Two papers Corn Starch— Two of Gelatina; One hundred and eighteen lbs. of Soap ; Rolls of Muslin and Linen, 4 collars; a lot of Books and Tracts.

We understand that the clothing embraced in the above list has been manufactured out of the very best material, and that the whole of the articles sent amount at a very low valuation, to the sum of Four Hundred Dollars. In accomplishing this noble work in the short time stated, the ladies of Boonsboro' and vicinity have given the country an evidence of industry and patriotism which can't be excelled by those of any other locality, either in the County or State. All honor to them !
