Return of JOHN J. THOMAS

This gentleman, who has been sojourning in the Libby Prison in Richmond under the tyrannical rule of Jeff Davis & Co, for the last five months paid us a visit on Friday last, and gave us a short, history of the many trials and privations he suffered during his incarceration. Mr. T. looks very well, under the circumstances, and must have borne his confinement and brutal treatment with a great deal of philosophy. His card of thanks to his numerous friends in this county and elsewhere, for the deep interest manifested by them to procure his release from bondage, will be found in our paper of to-day.
