Click on the MEDIA ITEMS below for more information

Death of a Soldier.—

Painful as it is, it nevertheless becomes our duty this week to announce the death of Corporal Adolphus Devilbiss, Co. I. 7th Maryland Volunteers, and a native of this town. He died on Monday, l6th inst., in the Hospital at Warrenton Junction of disease of the kidneys, after an illness of less than two weeks. Thus has fallen another victim to the traitors who inaugurated this rebellion against the best Government on earth. The deceased was in the 27th year of his age, and leaves a wife and one child to sorrow over his untimely end, together with a large circle of friends and acquaintances.—Boonsboro Odd Fellow.
