That if the rebel sympathizers in our State with the aid of Union men defeat the calling of the convention you will hear such shouts of rejoicing as will sadden the heart of every true Union man.

That if the Convention is defeated the next Legislature will be plied with all manner of arguments to induce a re-assessment of the property of the State.

That having obtained this grant, nine tenths of the slave property of the State will be stricken off the tax books and saddled on the shoulder of the counties of Western Maryland.

That this slave question will continue a bone of contention among us and its power will always be used by revels in aid of the bogus government in Richmond,

Union men, Loyal men, you have a responsible duty to perform on WEDNESDAY NEXT. Do not fail to do it.
