Morgantown Suffragists Organize.

Ably assisted by Dr. Harriet B. Jones, of Wheeling, 20 of the more prominent women of Morgantown, W. Va., met and organized a political equality club, which will have for its purpose the placing of a law on the statute books giving the women of West Virginia the right of suffrage.

The ladies intend to inaugurate a state-wide campaign at once and will attempt to organize a club in every city. After this is accomplished the first state convention will be held the date and place to be decided later.

The officers elected were: President, Mrs. George C. Sturgiss; first vice president, Mrs. W. E. Price; second vice president, Mrs. Ella A. Yost; secretary, Miss Eleanor Moreland; treasurer, Mrs. Lynn W. Jaco.

Dr. Jones addressed the Mothers’ club, following the organization meeting.

My wife, Anna Hetrick, having left my bed and board without just cause, I, hereby warn all persons not to trust or give her any credit on my account, as I will not be responsible for any debts contracted by her.
Augustus F. Hetrick.
