Runaways.

ON the 17tb ult. was committed to this Jail, a Negro Man who calls himself AARON ADAMS, says he belongs to Wm. R. Gordon, near Fredericksburg, Va. He is about 28 years of age, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, dark complexion. He had on when committed a blue cloth coat and striped cotton pantaloons. The middle finger of his right hand is shorter than the others, and he has a large cut on his right ankle.
And on the 26th ult. also was committed to this Jail, a Negro Man who calls himself HENRY ADAMS, and says he belongs to the same man. No marks discovered. He is younger than the other—about the size and colour—They say they are brothers.
The owner or owners of the above described negroes, are requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges and take them away, otherwise they will be discharged agreeably to law.
MOSES RAWLINGS, Sheriff Of Allegany county.
