Vivian Lee "Bibby" Colbert, 79, of 418 Pine Ave., Cumberland, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 5, 1919, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Major Thomas Lee and the late Eva Rose (Johnson) Lee Ashby. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn Lee Peck and Parthenia Lee Jones; and brother, Major Thomas Lee, Jr. Mrs. Colbert was a member of the McKendree Methodist Church and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, William A. Colbert, Jr.; one son, William A. Colbert III and wife Jeanne, Cumberland; she was a devoted grandmother of four grandchildren, Clayonia "Yonia" Colbert Dorsey and husband Neal, Gaithersburg, Dana Colbert-Mackey and husband Daryl, Alexandria, Va., Miss Kecia M. Colbert, Cumberland, William "Billy" A. Colbert IV, Alexandria, Va.; four great-grandchildren, Anynia Dorsey and Duaeno Dorsey, Dominique Mackey, Daynna Mackey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the McKendree Methodist Church on Paca Street, Cumberland. Burial will be in Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
