The Rev. Nellie G. Small

The Rev. Nellie G. Small, 56, of Beall Street Extended, Frostburg, died Friday, October 17, 1997 at her residence.

Born June 9,1941, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of Mary Ann (Paige) White, Frostburg, and the late Milton L. White. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Oliver White; and one sister, Marjorie Anita White.

Rev. Small was assistant pastor of Dickerson AME Church. She received an associates degree in theology and mental, a Bachelors degree in Theology, and was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Faith Chapter No. 31 Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Horace T. Small, and her daughter, Elizabeth Marchesa Barroso, both of Frostburg. She had four surviving sisters and one brother: Eleanor White, Cumberland; RoseMary Harris, Columbus, GA; Lois Ann Gray, Hollywood, C A and Sylvia White, Frostburg; and Milton (Buddy) White, Rochester, NY. She also had several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Frost Mansion Funeral Home, 58 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Faith Chapter of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Vivian Castain officiating.

Internment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Walter Bartlett, Milford Bruce, Stewart Twyman, Sean White, Jack Rafferty, and Franklin Yates.
