Dolores Gates-Thomas was a most gracious lady. She played a major role in providing photographs, historical background information, and other resources critical to the successful completion of this Allegany County African-American History website. My wife and I were privileged to have met and talked with her several times while she was visiting the family homestead on Greene Street
