Sheriff’s Sale!

BY virtue of an Order of the Circuit Court for Washington County, passed in virtue of sundry writs of attachment against Joseph H. Piper, I will proceed to sell, on Friday the 14th day of November next, at 10 o’clock A. M., at Mercerville, commonly called Piper’s Landing, near Sharpsburg, the following valuable personal property, to wit:

10 Head of Mules
Two Milch Cows
41 HEAD OF HOGS,
1 Pair of Carriage HORSES, 1 BUGGY, 1 Double Set of Harness, 1 Spring Wagon;
FOUR CANAL BOATS

A Likely, Strong, Healthy NEGRO WOMAN, aged 22 years; she has had the Small Pox; can do every kind of House Work, and has been used to Out Work.
I will exchange her for a Boy or Girl of about the age from 14 to 16 years, of I will receive in payment Wheat or Tobacco, if most convenient to the purchaser.

Executors’ Sale.
WILL be sold at public sale, in obedience to an order of the Orphan’s Court of Washington County, at the house of Joseph Firey, in Hagerstown, on Tuesday the 8th day of July next, a Negro Woman named LOUISA, belonging to the estate of the late Sabina Firey, deceased. The condition of the sale shall be, as prescribed by the order, that she shall not be removed beyond the State of Maryland.
