RANAWAY from the subscriber, in the 15 instant, a NEGRO BOY, named Charles, 16 or 17 years old; when spoken to has a down look, and speaks rather sharp; had on when he went away a pair of trousers only. He was brought out of Fredericktown gaol the day he ran away. A Runaway Negro in Custody

On the 13th instant, was committed to my custody, as a Runaway, a Negro fellow, who calls himself
Douglas, and says he belongs to Messrs. John Woods & Thomas Vaulks, of Franklin County, Virginia-
The said Negro is about five feet six or seven inches high, is a stout well made hearty looking fellow, he has a few small scars in his face, and talks bold. His owners are hereby notified to come & prove their property in him, pay his gaol fees, and take him away.

A Runaway Negro in Custody.

On the 30th day of August last, was committed to my custody, as a Runaway, a Negro fellow, who calls himself Sam—says he belongs to Thomas McCubbin of George Town, Maryland—the said Negro is about 45 years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, he has a scar on his right hand, he says was cut with a broad-axe, his left knee is somewhat stiff, occasioned by a hurt when a boy. His owner is hereby notified to come, prove his property, pay his gaol fee, and take him away.

A Runaway mulatto in custody

ON the 9th instant was committed to my custody as a runaway, a Mulatto Fellow who calls himself Jess, and says he belongs to Mr. Henry Dent, in Charles
County Maryland. He is about 6 feet 4 or 5 inches high, well made, had on when
committed, a Negro cotton jacket, (white) a pair of striped woollen trowsers, and Oznaburg shirt. His owner is hereby requested to pay his gaol fees and take him away.
