FROSTBURG?— Bernard “Bernie” Wynder, 58, of Frostburg, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 4, 1955, in Baltimore City, to Mary Elizabeth Scovens and the late Joseph Wynder. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Wynder.

Leona Wormack, 100, of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Aug. 16, 2003, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.

Born May 4, 1903, Uniontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Wormack and Mary (Williams) Wormack. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Andrew, and John Wormack; a sister, Henrietta Wormack; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Wormack; and a great-nephew, Keith W. Wormack, IV. Mrs. Wormack is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

WORMACK SERVICES

A service for Airman First Class Jerry Wayne Wormack, 21, who died March 17 in a hospital in Italy of injuries he received in an auto accident on March 14, will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at the Hafer Funeral Home. Rev. William Claybon will officiate and interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

An Air Force burial squad from Washington will accord military honors at graveside.

KEYSER, W.Va.- Samuel E. Washington, 78, of 540 Virginia Ave., Keyser, died on Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, at his residence.

Born Feb. 3, 1920, in Keyser, he was the son of the late Clarence H. and Sarah M. (Rolls) Washington. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Rebecca (Davis) Washington, on Oct. 15, 1990.

CUMBERLAND — James “Bubblegum” Richard Washington Sr., 71, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at his home.

Born Oct. 11, 1942, in Cumberland, James was the son of the late William Washington and Anna Elizabeth (Yates) Washington. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Bubby” Washington.

James D. "Chief" Washington Sr., 61, of 51 Jones St., Piedmont, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md.

Born Nov. 27, 1937, in Piedmont, he was the son of the late Oswald H. Washington and Lucille F. (Redman) Washington. He was also preceded in death by one brother; one sister; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Washington was self employed and was Methodist by faith.

Charles "Bubby" William Washington Sr., 63, of Cumberland, died on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at the WMHS Memorial Campus Hospital.

Born July 4, 1941, in Cumberland, he was the son of William Hursia Washington, Denver, Colo., and the late Anna Elizabeth (Yates) Washington. Mr. Washington was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was retired from the City of Cumberland. Mr. Washington was a member of the A.M.E. Metropolitan Church and the Fort Cumberland Post 13 American Legion.
