This is to certify that J. Wade has paid me thirteen dollars and eleven cents, being
the toll on Way Bill No. 12 Descending trip of the Cap Walker &
the toll in Way Bill No 658 Ascending trip of the Cap Walker
The Way Bill for the ascending trip being of this date, to 68 miles
and that of the descending, dated 9 June from 68 miles

The toll was from Mile 68 to Georgetown. Mile 68 is in the region of Antietam Furnace, where the Wade family lived.
