Incendiary PAPER.—
The Grand Jury of Accomac co., Va , on the 20th ult. presented the New York Christian Advocate and Journal (the Organ of the Methodist Episcopal Church) as an incendiary paper, in. the following words :
Runaway Negroes.
We have been informed that a batch of 6 or 8 slaves belonging to Mr. Elias Cheney, of Funkstown, has been missing since Sunday last, and are supposed to have decamped for the good old Democratic Land of Penn. In reference to runaway negroes, we find the following melancholy item of information in the last Williamsport Times:
“Last week we stated that a negro man had been drowned, some distance below Dam No. 6, and yesterday, (Friday,) another negro man was found drowned, near "Duck Island," about 1 ½ miles above town.

MARYLAND REDEEMED!!
THE NEW CONSTITUTION CARRIED ! THE SOLDERS DECIDE ITS ADOPTION
Liberty to all the land
Baltimore, Oct. 17. We have the following tonight :
Returns all in, showing a deficiency on the home vote of 1554. Soldiers vote thus far received 2463 making a majority for the New Constitution of 889 votes, which will be increased, it is thought, not less than 500 more. Thus the New Constitution is clearly adopted.
Are You Ready?
Until the dawn of that brighter era in the history of Maryland when she shall have emerged from the night of Slavery into the full day of Freedom and Prosperity, and the standard bearers of the National Union ticket shall have been triumphantly elected, these columns will be exclusively devoted to the cause. We conceive it to be the duty of every freeman in the Commonwealth to be active, earnest and vigilant in his efforts to place Maryland among the great Free Labor States, whose manufacturing, mining, agricultural and commercial industry is identical with ours.
