Leroy Younger, 68, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Born June 25, 1948, in Cumberland, Mr. Younger was the son of the late Walter Younger and Elizabeth Selene (Smith) Younger. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Jane Beckwith, Wilma Jean Younger, and Florence Meade; and a brother, Norman Younger, Sr.

Zenzell Nienobe Younger, 28, of Cumberland, died on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at WMHS Sacred Heart Campus Hospital.

Born Oct. 5, 1977, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Norma Lee Younger, Cumberland, and the late Ronald Britt. A graduate of Allegany High School with honors, Class of 1995, Miss Younger furthered her education at Howard University, Morgan State University and Allegany College of Maryland making the Dean's List. She loved traveling and meeting people.

He was born Jan. 4, 1955, in Baltimore City, to Mary Elizabeth Scovens and the late Joseph Wynder. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Wynder.

Leona Wormack, 100, of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Aug. 16, 2003, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.

Born May 4, 1903, Uniontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Wormack and Mary (Williams) Wormack. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Andrew, and John Wormack; a sister, Henrietta Wormack; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Wormack; and a great-nephew, Keith W. Wormack, IV. Mrs. Wormack is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

WORMACK SERVICES

A service for Airman First Class Jerry Wayne Wormack, 21, who died March 17 in a hospital in Italy of injuries he received in an auto accident on March 14, will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. at the Hafer Funeral Home. Rev. William Claybon will officiate and interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

An Air Force burial squad from Washington will accord military honors at graveside.
